JoAnna Faye Akin passed away peacefully in her sleep at 59 yrs young on November 11th, 2023. She was the keeper of the grandchildren, and flower beds. Joanna was born in Plymouth Indiana on November 13th 1963. She attended school in Glen Rose, TX where she met and fell in love with her soulmate/husband Dickie Akin. Joanna worked at Ramblin Rose, Cooper Tire, Lowes, The Country Store, Honorary Girl Scout troop leader, but her main job was loving her family.
She was a loving and faithful wife of forty one years to Dickie Akin who preceded her in death, along with her parents Lewis Cochran, Patricia Schieb, Ed and Helen Akin.
JoAnna is survived by her daughters, Cristi Akin, Rikki Jo Galdamez and her favorite son in law Juan Galdamez. Son, Michael Akin; seven grandchildren Aden and Alijah Love, Mattie Power, Avery Galdamez, Chiles, Emma, and Joleen Akin. Two brothers, Jeff Cochran and wife Shannon. Joey Cochran. Two sisters Jennifer Schieb and Julie Branham.
Her family grieves her loss but they take comfort knowing that Dickie and Joanna are riding the Harley and together again.
